Objectives of the bootcamp
Dive into the exciting world of visual effects with our beginner-friendly bootcamp. Over three days, you’ll get hands-on experience in the fundamentals of compositing, exploring both VFX and full CG workflows. Perfect for newcomers, this bootcamp will introduce you to the essential tools and techniques, setting a solid foundation for your compositing journey.
No previous experience or knowledge is required. Every step is carefully commented and explained with the goal to boost start you compositing career.
At meet Your Legend, we believe in practice to understand and learn concepts, so each course will be based on concrete shot examples to do. On the top of learning new techniques and achieving something real, you’ll be able to use the shots you’ve done in your demo-reel!

- 10.5h of live video bootcamp to learn in small groups of 8 people (3 hours per day, during 3 days – at 5pm CEST / 8am PST / 11am EST), with daily assignments between classes, and 1h30 one-on-one mentoring with the instructor for personalized guidance, to be split up each day.
- The bootcamp will run from 5pm to 8pm CEST / from 8am to 11am PST / from 11am to 2pm EST. One-to-one mentoring sessions can be arranged in between classes, at your convenience.
Evaluation & Certification
Final project
- Complete a concrete case study by the end of the bootcamp. Successful completion earns you a skill certificate from Meet Your Legend, indicating cooptation by industry legends. If unsuccessful, you can retake the evaluation later
- Nuke Basics certificate upon successful completion

- Familiarity with operating a computer and its OS (OSX, Windows, or Linux)
- Nuke installed (non-commercial license is sufficient)
