Objectives of the bootcamp
Dive into the exciting world of visual effects with our beginner-friendly bootcamp. Over three days, you’ll get hands-on experience in the creating of HDRI, from scratch or with a generative AI. Perfect for newcomers, this bootcamp will introduce you to the essential tools and techniques, setting a solid foundation for your creative journey.
No previous experience or knowledge is required. Every step is carefully commented and explained with the goal to boost start you career.
At meet Your Legend, we believe in practice to understand and learn concepts, so each course will be based on concrete shot examples to do. On the top of learning new techniques and achieving something real, you’ll be able to use the shots you’ve done in your demo-reel!

10.5 hours of live video call bootcamp taught by expert on creative and technical skills (at 5pm CEST / 8am PST / 11am EST) during 3 days for learning in a small group (max 8 persons), with daily assignments between classes, including 1.5 hours of one-on-one mentoring with your instructor, to be booked at your convenience, to get feedback on assignments
Evaluation & Certification
Final project
- Complete a concrete case study by the end of the bootcamp. Successful completion earns you a skill certificate from Meet Your Legend, indicating cooptation by industry legends. If unsuccessful, you can retake the evaluation later
- HDRI Shooting and Basics certificate upon successful completion

Your mentor
Charles Chorein is a CG and VFX supervisor base in London with 18 years of experience. He has been working in London since 2009 and has achieved various movies such as The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Prometheus, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Superman: Man of Steel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Despicable Me. He has been working for years in TV and recently finished Dark Crystal for Netflix. He is currently involved in a few projects for Netflix and Amazon that are coming early next year.

- Basic understanding of 2D & CG images
- Familiarity with operating a computer and its OS (OSX, Windows, or Linux)
- Nuke and PTGui installed (non-commercial license is sufficient)

- Disk Space: 40 GB available for caching and temporary files
- RAM: At least 8 GB
- Display: 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution and 24-bit color
- Graphics Card: At least 512 MB of video memory, driver support for OpenGL 2.0
