The services offered by Meet Your Legend are aimed at all players in the VFX & Animation industry! Whether you’re a progressing talent, a student from a creative school, a recent graduate, a professional transitioning careers, a self-taught individual… we have the means to support you in your professional evolution!

To find out if mentorship is right for you, we offer Free Consultations. During these free 15-minute sessions, you meet with a team member who can answer all your questions: regarding my goals, which services would suit me best? which mentor should I contact based on my needs? how does a mentorship session work? And of course, this consultation is non-binding!

To best prepare before starting mentorship, it is recommended to use your first free 15-minute session with a member of our team: the Free Consultation. We will help you target your needs and objectives in order to guide you in choosing a mentor who fits your project. You will then have all the information you need to make the most of your mentorship session!

To book a mentorship session, you need to create a free account on Meet Your Legend and subscribe to one of our subscriptions, on the Offers page.
Once your subscription is validated, you can view the profiles of our mentors and book a session with the one of your choice. Simply check their availability to choose an available slot, fill out a form with your information, and validate your session!

The process of a mentorship session is very simple: a session lasts 30 minutes, during which you can address the subject(s) of your choice. You can inform your mentor of the topics you wish to discuss when you fill out the form at the time of booking. Your mentor will then be able to answer all your questions, guide you through complex decisions, advise you on a project, and share their industry expertise with you.

After booking a mentorship session, the next step is to receive a confirmation email. It allows you to have all the data related to your session (day / time / mentor’s identity…) but also to add information for your mentor such as your session goals, a link to your portfolio / demoreels… Then, all you have to do is wait for the start of your session!

During a mentorship session, there are several guidelines to follow. It is important to be present, on time, and focused. It is important to be presentable, even if it’s a video call, and to leave your ego in the waiting room. Mentors cannot promote their services or personal interests, although both parties must respect confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements (NDA). Finally, respect is at the heart of the exchanges and violent, racist, sexual, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. In case of non-compliance, your mentor may end the session and we may take legal action against you.

There is a minimum amount of equipment to prepare for your mentorship session. Since the sessions are online, it is recommended to use a computer rather than a smartphone or tablet. It is important to check the Internet speed (a minimum of 4mb/s would be more suitable). Furthermore, we recommend that you have all the items you wish to show your mentor (portfolio, demoreel, personal work…) on hand to avoid wasting time.

No, it is prohibited to record a mentorship session (audio or video recording) under penalty of sanctions.

It is totally possible to modify a mentorship session that has already been scheduled. However, it is important to ensure that this cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the scheduled date. Your mentor may then suggest rescheduling the session for another day, but if this new slot does not suit you, your session will not be counted.

If you miss a mentorship session that you had scheduled, it will still be counted. Conversely, if your mentor does not show up, your session will not be counted. However, in case of delay, a grace period of 5 minutes is allowed at the beginning of the session.

Each mentor speaks one or more languages (English, French, Icelandic, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Czech, Hebrew…). It is therefore very important to pay attention to the languages spoken by each mentor, visible on their profile, before making a reservation.
